ISE North QLD branch inaugural breakfast meeting was held in Cairns on 19 Feb 09, hosted by the Branch Manager, Antonia Moore.

The breakfast was well attended with a mix of representatives from the technical services sector and the manpower facilities. We had the pleasure of the company of Thelma Spelta, Community Safety Coordinator who enjoyed the round table discussions before the formalities. This was a great forum for discussion on the local security industry, training, compliance and the needs of the industry in North QLD.

Antonia presented updates to the QLD legislation, opportunities to business through membership of industry associations, the need for improved standards and compliance. Guests completed questionnaires on their areas of interest in the services that can be provided locally by the Nth QLD branch and the association as a whole.

The meeting was a success on all accounts and agreement was reached to gather again in the next quarter.
